Choosing the right fabric for your workout clothes is essential. The wrong fabric can make you feel hot, itchy, and uncomfortable, or even cause skin irritation.
Strong & Stylish, what to look for in the best fabrics for workout clothes:
- Moisture-wicking - Look for fabrics that wick away sweat from your skin and allow it to evaporate quickly. Moisture-wicking fabrics like polyester, nylon, and spandex are great choices for this, as they pull moisture away from the skin and keep you feeling dry and comfortable.
- Breathable - Breathable fabrics are essential for allowing air to circulate around your body and keeping you cool. Fabrics like cotton, or bamboo, I personally prefer bamboo.
- Stretchy - Stretchy fabrics like spandex or elastane are important for allowing freedom of movement during workouts.
- Durable - Workout clothes go through a lot of wear and tear, so look for fabrics that are durable and long-lasting. Fabrics like polyester, nylon, and spandex are great choices.
- Lightweight - Lightweight fabrics are ideal for workout clothes, as they won't weigh you down during your workout. Look for fabrics that are lightweight and airy, like polyester or some cotton blends.
- Anti-bacterial - Some fabrics have antibacterial properties that can help reduce odors caused by sweat. Bamboo and certain synthetic blends are known for their antibacterial properties.

Overall, I love Bamboo, but that is just me!
